Specialist in Film Therapy

As a film buff from a young age, I developed a special interest in film therapy, and appreciate how films can promote positive transformation and healing in a person’s life.

Bringing extensive experience to the psychosocial health and wellbeing of clients providing social work, I utilise ‘E-Motion Picture Magic: A Movie-Lover’s Guide to Healing and Transformation'- by Birgit Wolz, a pioneer and expert in Cinema Therapy, taking advantage of the transformational power certain films can have on individuals.
Some of my favourite films which I find encapsulate empowering life themes and which have deeply impacted me include:
  1. Her
  2. Lore
  3. Into The Wild
  4. Captain Fantastic
  5. Fight Club
  6. Arrival
  7. Hidden Figures
  8. Freedom Writers
  9. Gladiator
  10. Alien
